A migraine headache is more than a typical headache. Often there are precursors such as flashes of light, blind spots, tingling in the arms, nausea, and sinistivity to light/sound. Migraine headaches, doctors speculate, are the result of blood vessel enlargement and the release of chemicals from nerve fibers that coil around the blood vessels. Females tend to have this malady more than men, and the most recent data suggests that a wide range of triggers exist.
