Science Explain: Are quadruplets always identical or always fraternal, or can they be both? Asked by arwen46 on 27 Jan 11:11 Last updated by anonymous on 28 Jan 21:14
It could be either fraternal or paternal depending on how the division occured. If the zygote split into four separate parts, then they would be identical. If four different eggs were fertilized by four different sperm, then they would be fraternal.
