Describe what happens to oxygen after it enters the lungs?

After oxygen enters our lungs, some of it is transferred into our bloodstreams. In response, some of the carbon dioxide in our blood is transferred into the air (our lungs). Because of this, the levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide in our bloodstream is controlled.
