Weather Why do cumulonimbus clouds often form along cold fronts? Prentice Hall - Science Explorer. Asked by BookRagsHelper 12 years ago 12/31/2012 3:54 AM Last updated by anonymous 12 years ago 1/2/2013 12:45 AM
The cold fronts usually are pushing against a warm front. This forces the warmer air to rise above where it cools and condenses to form clouds. If it condenses enough, it will rain.
