How are viruses different from bacteria?

Viruses are not cells, bacteria are. Viruses are composed of genetic information which they transfer when they attack and overtake another host cell. Bacteria can reproduce on their own and have a type of respiration and grow (visuese don't. Bacteria in a sense are 'alive' whereas viruses are more cellular parasites.
