I feel that it depends what you decide to do with your future. At age 40 are you going to be married? Have kids? If yes, than I feel that you will have more responsibilities to deal with concerning home, and work and they can affect the amount of freedom you will have. If you won't have kids and you will dedicate your life to yourself, You will have more freedom to travel. It all comes down to what you want in your future.
