7 characters in the story "the trumpet of the swan"

In The Trumpet of the Swan there are many characters. Here are the main ones:

Father Swan....He is quite dramatic, and is depicted as a good father. He's the one that risks getting his son a trumpet, see's Louis's need for it and decides to do what it takes to make it happen.

Mother Swan is kind and loving. She is the first one to notice that Louis doesn't have a voice.

Louis is the main character. He is swan that has no voice. Instead of feeling sorry for himself, he tries to think of ways to fix it, or work around it.

Sam Beaver helps Louis, and was there when Louis was hatched. He helps Louis figure out ways to fit in and to compensate for his lack of a voice. He becomes Louis's teacher, of sorts.
