In The Alchemist, Hekate isn't worried about the twins because she is one of the old race. She is otherworldly and has existed long before mankind. She becomes angry when she sees the Codex and because she realizes that with it they can destroy the Yggdrasill that is where Hekate draws her power. Originally, they wanted Heckate's help to awaken the twins' powers.
