There were 27 bales of hay in the barn and 10 bales in the shed. Jason stacked more bales in the barn today. There are now 75 bales of hay in the barn. How many bales did he store in the barn ?

27=number of bales of hay to begin with

75= total number of bales of hay now

x=number of bales extra stored in barn

27+x=75

27-27+x=75-27

x=48
