There were 24 bales of hay in the barn and 29 bales in the shed. Keith stacked more bales in the barn today. There are now 85 bales of hay in the barn. How many bales did he store in the barn ?

25=number of bales in the barn to begin

x=number of bales added to barn

85=total number in barn of bales

25+x=85

25+x-25=85-25

x=60
