y = - 5x - 38

- x = 1 - 2y

- x = 1 - 2(- 5x - 38 )

- x = 1 +10x +76

- x = 10x +77

- x -10x= 10x-10x +77

-11x=77

-11x/-11=77/-11

x=-7

y = - 5x - 38

y = - 5(-7) - 38

y = 35 - 38=-3
