2x + 2y = 22

2x-2x + 2y = 22-2x

2y = 22-2x

2y/2 = 22-2x/2

y=11-x

4x + 3y = 35

4x + 3(11-x) = 35

4x + 3(11) (3)(-x) = 35

4x+33-3x=35

x+33=35

x+33-33=35-33

x=2

y=11-x

y=11-2=9
