2x + 5y = 2
2x + 5y-5y = 2-5y
2x= 2-5y
2x/2= 2/2-5y/2
x=1-2.5y
- 4x - 5y = - 4
- 4(1-2.5y) - 5y = - 4
- 4(1) (-4)(-2.5y) - 5y = - 4
-4+10y- 5y = - 4
-4+5y = - 4
-4+5y+4 = - 4+4
5y=0
5y/5=0/5
y=0
x=1-2.5y
x=1-2.5(0)
x=1-0
x=1
