2x + 3y = 28
2x + 3y-3y = 28-3y
2x= 28-3y
2x/2= 28/2-3y/2
x=14-1.5y
- 2x + 3y = 8
- 2(14-1.5y) + 3y = 8
- 2(14) (-2)(-1.5y) + 3y = 8
-28+3y+ 3y = 8
-28+ 6y = 8
-28+ 6y+28 = 8+28
6y=36
6/6y=36/6
y=6
x=14-1.5y
x=14-1.5(6)
x=14-9
x=5
