x^2 + 5x - 6 = 0

(x )(x ) ( -1)( +6)=0

(x-1) (x+6) = 0

Solve:

(x-1)=0

x-1+1=0+1

x=1

Solve:

(x+6) = 0

x+6-6 = 0-6

x=-6
