Random survey total number=625

Residents with red hair=81

Percentage with red hair =81/625*100=13%

If you have an error of +or - 4% then you have a range of 4 percent on either side of the survery percentage that can be in error=

13%-4%=9%

13%+4%=17%

The range including error of people that have red hair out of the total number of respondents is 9%-17% with 13% being the percentage according to hardcopy survey
