-1x^2 - 10x - 16 = 0

-1(x^2+10x+16)

-1(x )(x ) ( +2)( +8)

-1(x+2)(x+8)=0

Solve:

-1(x+2)=0

(-1)(x) (-1)(2)=0

-1x-2=0

-1x-2+2=0+2

-1x=2

-1x/-1=2/-1

x=-2

Solve:

-1(x+8)=0

(-1)(x) (-1)(+8)=0

-1x-8=0

-1x-8+8=0+8

-1x=8

-1x/-1=8/-1

x=-1
