FIRST AMENDENT - What are the limits on the right to assemble?

The First Amendment guarantees the right to conduct a peaceful public assembly. The right to assemble, however, is not absolute. Government officials cannot prohibit a public/peaceful assembly in their own discretion, but they can impose restrictions on the time, place, and manner of peaceful assembly.
