The Apaches are an Indian tribe that inhabited the desert valley of the Colorado River, along with many other Indian tribes. Their lands reached to the source of the Gila River in what was then the republic of Mexico. The Apaches, like the Navajo, were wanderers traveling all the way to California, Oregon and Washington.
