Who is Robert Arnette from All Loves Excelling and what is their importance?

Robert Arnette is the college counselor at St. Matthew's. He is dedicated to the students but often exasperated by their parents' demands. When Robert learns about Amanda's rejection from Dartmouth, he tried to help her cope. Amanda, unfortunately, takes her own life shortly after learning of the decision.
