The Mojave Indian tribes lived in the flood plain of the Colorado River. They lived in a hot, dry climate and rarely needed clothing. The tribe used rude irrigation to raise corn and squash. Even though they caught some rabbits and fish, they lived mainly on a diet consisting of vegetables and plants.
