Who is Eun-gyu ( from Please Look After Mom and what is their importance?

Eun-gyu appears in Mom's narrative. He is a someone her family knows nothing about and is described as a friend and confidante..... possibly, a lover. Note, Mom doesn't described Eun-gyu as a person, she only describes him in relation to herself.
