In the story ''Games at twilight" What is ironic about the end of the story? (consider what Ravi originally wanted to do and what actually ends up happening.)
At the end, Ravi believes that he is going to be the winner, but by the time he emerges the children have gone on to other games and so his win is negated. One cannot win if others don't declare you the winner. So, technically, he did win, but contexturally he does not.
