Foster-child of Silence and slow Time
Explanation: since this is an artifact that he is admiring, one can see where he derives the 'foster child'. This urn is without many others of its kind. It is without a 'family'. And, since urns cannot speak outright, they speak silently with their existence, the art, and the detail on them.
Sylvan historian
Explanation: Time has marched onward and this urn has borne witness to it, especially that time period during which it was created.
