How does the structure of each stanza add to the meaning of the poem?

Wilcox structures the poem with contrasts. For each line that is positive..... she follows with a line that is negative. The lesson, however, doesn't advocate for either positivity and company, nor, dourness and loneliness, as she commits her last lines to the reality that in the end..... “one by one we must all file on.” The poem's meaning revolves around self-reliance.
