Details about Ulrich in The Interlopers

Ulrich von Gradwitz is a rich landowner. He has legal right to a disputed stretch of land, but he knows that Georg continues to use the land for hunting. When the story takes place, Ulrich has organized a group of men to find Georg, and he has every intention of killing him. To Ulrich, Georg is an enemy..... a "forest-thief, game-snatcher." When the two men get trapped under a tree, Ulrich offers Georg some wine, and he is the first to offer friendship. Ulrich is also the first to see the approaching wolves.
