What happens if the natural opposites are NOT abided by in a text? (think: Shrek) What does it do to our understanding of the text as we read/watch it?
I can't recall, does Shrek have an antagonist with oppsite traits? A character or protagonist doesn't alsays need a foil foor the narrative to work.
