Forest, Indiana is the town where Zorrie moves after returning home from Ottawa. Having traveled around from state to state and town to town, she is glad to find work in Forest. This is also the place where she first meets and begins working for Gus and Bessie. They not only employ her on their property, but welcome her into their home.
