What choice does the Wood Wit give Zahrah in the novel, Zahrah the Windseeker?

When the bees offer Zahrah some honey, the wood wit gives her a choice: he can heal her poison and send her home, or give her some honey and she can continue on her journey without the guarantee that she will live.
