Papa Grip, the leader of Kirki, is described as extremely kind and capable of mediating even the worst of arguments among the townspeople. He encourages Zahrah to be happy with who she is rather than focusing on how others see her. However, despite his positive attitude and acceptance of Zahrah’s unique nature, Papa Grip still keeps people from entering the Greeny Jungle, as it is too dangerous for an unprepared rescue team.
