How is the Sunnyview Lodge described in the novel, You Are Here?
.

.
Sunnyview Lodge is one of the hotels where Marnie and Michael stay while walking the Coast to Coast trail. The lodge is equipped with "a guest lounge with maps and guides, a full English breakfast, of course, and, in the Lavender Suite" where Marnie is staying, "a fireplace, a pale pink candlewick bedspread, a cast-iron bed frame" (221). The antiquated atmosphere of the space makes Marnie feel as if she has been transported in time. However, her room at the lodge feels different to her when Michael joins her after dinner that evening. This is the setting where the two are intimate for the first time. They kiss and engage in foreplay until the landlady demands that Michael leave Marnie's room. When Marnie later leaves the trail and returns home, she remembers the lodge because the setting marked a turning point in her and Michael's relationship.
