What title is given to the Humans that refuse to become part of an Oankali family in the novel, Lilith’s Brood?

Resisters are the title given to the Humans that refuse to become part of an Oankali family. The resistor villages are not necessarily violent but it is seen that it is common for them to attempt to shoot Oankali if they come in. Resisters are allowed to do as they please unless they actually kill someone, at which point they will be taken to the ship and never allowed to return to Earth.
