Why does Casey worry after leaving her manuscript at Muriel's apartment in Chapter 22?

Casey is self conscious about the novel and knows that Muriel is not only a successful writer but also a harsh critic. She fears Muriel's response to the work. However, after completing the novel she does promise to get a draft to Muriel within a week or two.
