What is the author's style in the novel, Writers & Lovers?
.

.
The novel is divided into a series of short chapter-like sections, none of which are titled or numbered. This atypical form lends a fluidity between Casey's past, present, and future. While the events of the novel largely occur on a linear trajectory, the narrative does occasionally dip into Casey's past. However, these sections appear in the same manner as those events occurring in Casey's immediate present. This structural presentation parallels Casey's emotional relationship with her memories and her present experiences. Because she has yet to confront and reconcile herself with the hurts, disappointments, and sorrows of her earlier life, they hold just as much significance as the things she is experiencing and processing in her present. The form of the novel similarly dictates no structural hierarchy between what has already happened, and what is currently happening on the page.
