What irony appears in Casey's first date with Oscar?

There are two main examples of irony in this chapter/scene. First is the fact that Oscar has a fear of trees, yet he invited Casey out for a walk at an arboretum. Secondly, irony emerges when Oscar says that he cannot date writers, while Casey is an author and has only dated writers.
