Silas is somewhat standoffish because he has been sick, and perhaps other reasons. Casey does not know how to take his demeanor. She feels she should tell Silas about Oscar, but cannot bring herself to do so. When Silas does not kiss her at the end of the evening, she feels maybe it does not matter because he has lost interest.
