How does Casey's relationship progress with Oscar in Chapters 34 and 35?

In Chapter 34, Casey has begun reading all of Oscar's works, including his latest novel Thunder Road. When she tells him she liked it, he tells her he loves her. When Casey tells Oscar about the situation with her pottery shed, he invites her to come live with him and the boys.
