Dorothy again suggests to Palmer that he tell people he does not want to be a wringer. Palmer sneers at her, and she throws open the window and begins to scream out of the window telling people Palmer does not want to be a wringer. Palmer's reaction is to pull her back into the room, close and lock the window and pull down the shade.
