Palmer's mother does not like Beans, Mutto and Henry and calls them hoodlums. She is appalled at the way her husband and Palmer accept The Treatment as simply a rite of passage. She is also critical of Palmer's new nickname, Snots. Palmer's father knows about The Treatment and explains to Palmer that he received the same treatment many times in his childhood. He laughs off Palmer's new nickname and is obviously proud of his boy for maturing.
