Why does Sonny take Kelley to Tavern on the Green in the novel, Wondrous Strange?

The Tavern on the Green is located in an inbetween location between the Otherworld and the mortal world, so it is a safehouse, where Fae cannot be killed or injured. This is where Sonny takes Kelley to keep her safe.
