Hera is a goddess of Mount Olympus, a Grecian divine realm. She has a husband-consort, whose name is Zeus. Even though they are deities and not mere mortals, some of their behavior is virtually identical to that of mortals including the fact that they tend to argue with each other. In this case, she and her husband are having a disagreement.

Her son steps agrees with her, and there are major consequences. She continues to argue and may have lost. Her helpful son is banished by her husband from Olympus either because his support was so powerful and/or because even the two of them together were not powerful enough to stop her husband.
