Old First is the Presbyterian church that Katherine attends three Sundays a month. She found the church not long after moving to New York. Although she grew up Baptist, she wanted to change denominations to sever her connections with her childhood past. At Old First, she finds comfort and order. She is not attached to the faith itself, but appreciates the church's ritualistic services. Whenever she is in this space, she becomes reflective and meditative.
