What is the importance of the Denver Outpost in the novel, Wolfsbane?

The Searchers have an outpost in a warehouse in Denver where they can launch missions to Vail, Colorado. It is from here that both of the rescue mission to save Calla's pack are launched and it is here that the Keepers attack using Ansel's information.
