How is the novel, Wish, an example of the hero's journey?

The novel uses the structure of the hero’s journey, including the steps associated with this type of journey. Readers learn about Charlie's dissatisfaction with her ordinary world through the wish she makes. Then, she receives his call to adventure. rejects it, and is finally forced to accept it and enter the unknown world.
