Wish
How is Charlie wrong in her assumptions about life in Colby in the novel, Wish?
.
.
Charlie initially believes that the people who live in Raleigh are better than the people who live in Colby. She views the people in Colby as uneducated hillbillies. Over time, she learns that her assumptions were wrong. Colby is the place where Charlie finds a community that is willing to support her and help her grow. She would never have found this in Raleigh where her parents weren't even able to take care of themselves.
