Winter of the Witch
What role does Sasha play in the novel, Winter of the Witch?
.
.
Sasha acts as an antithesis for both Vasya and Konstantin as he lives entirely by faith and the word of God. However, he also shows that it is possible for those in one religion can coexist with those who believe something else. Over time, he comes to respect Vasya’s decision to join with Morozko and even fights alongside the chyerti. Yet, unlike Konstantin, Sasha never gives into fear. He dies in battle and refuses to give up his faith to be revived by Medved. This is the complete opposite of Konstantin, and Sasha is praised for his courage as the two worlds continue to coexist.
