Who lives in the Avian Principality in the novel, Wildwood (Wildwood Chronicles)?

The Avian Principality is home to large flocks of birds. It is situated between South Wood and Wildwood. Anyone entering the land must pass through check points on the Long Road. A large flock of soldier birds, commanded by an eagle, oversees this security. The ruler of the principality is a great-horned owl named Owl Rex. He maintains a roost in a huge tree consisting of many nests which house his attendants and assistants.
