Wildwood (Wildwood Chronicles)
How are Mr. and Mrs. McKeel different than we initially believe them to be in the novel, Wildwood (Wildwood Chronicles)?
.
.
At first glance Prue's parents are a typical married couple with two children. However, as Prue learns upon returning to St. John's following her first visit to Wildwood, they have relied on magic to have a family. Although they were biologically unable to have children, the couple made an agreement with a stranger who promised to help them in exchange for their second child. The McKeels are overcome initially by a sense of guilt for making the agreement so many years ago, but they also seem to have resigned themselves to the reality of the situation. Because they agreed to the deal, they feel Alexandra is within her rights and they can do nothing about it. They do not want Prue to go back to the woods because they are afraid of losing her, too.
