In what way does AJ's crooked arm symbolize his character in the novel, Wilde Lake?

AJ's crooked arm symbolizes AJ's character. Lu says in the first chapter that one must know where to look. However, if they knew where to look in regard to AJ, they could see he was crooked. No one can get a straight answer out of AJ when the truth matters. He knows how to use language that weaves around the truth. This was true with pivotal happenings in his youth and with his own house now. For example, AJ makes it look as if he only lives in one row house, but he lives in three. If one knows where to look, as Lu manages to do, one can see that AJ is crooked just like his arm.
