Cheryl returns to hitchhiking and is picked up by a woman named Lou, her fiancé, Dave, Dave's brother, Spider, and their dog, Stevie Ray. Cheryl asks Lou about a picture of a boy on the mirror and she says that it's her son who was killed by a truck driver at 8 years old. When she drops her off at the designated spot, Lou tells Cheryl that her son's death took the "Lou out of Lou."
